Rehabilitation Therapy

If you have ever had a physical trauma, a car accident, work  injury, sports injury or if you have a muscle or spinal condition, this information on DEEP MUSCLE THERAPY  is VITAL for you.

A trauma to the body or even general stress causes the muscles to react and protect the body.  The result of this trauma is torn or tight muscles.  When this happens, the normal amount of blood necessary to clean and feed the muscle cannot penetrate the constant muscle spasm.  This causes an over abundance of lactic acid. Lactic acid is a toxin that burns and irritates the muscles, causing them to continue their abnormal contraction.  The result is muscles that continue to deform other structures and  cause  misalignments.  This can happen slowly over time even after a person has been released from treatment or "feels better."

DEEP MUSCLE THERAPY is a sequence of deep massage strokes that specifically addresses the area of injury or stress.  The main difference between DEEP MUSCLE THERAPY and other forms of massage is that it goes deeper and is more specific. This can really break up pockets of toxins held in place by old scar tissue and spasm, from injuries, stress and fatigue.

The purpose of DEEP MUSCLE THERAPY is to locate the muscles that are tight and may be keeping a bone out of place. This abnormal contraction of the muscles due to the build up of lactic acid and scar tissue can cause gross deformity in the structure. This is seen  as imbalance in leg length, twisting of the rib cage, unequal balance of the shoulders, a tilted head and many misplaced vertebrae.  The purpose of DEEP MUSCLE THERAPY  is to locate these sore muscles and the area of stress in order to release the spasm.  We do this by using specific strokes with different degrees of pressure. This will push toxins out of the muscle and into the circulatory system of the lymphatic and blood streams. The pressure also breaks down microscopic adhesions, which are tiny scar fibers that also cause a deformation of the muscle. Toxins are eliminated through the normal areas of kidneys, lungs and skin.  The therapy is done in 30 minute increments and can be done intensively, to give the best results in the shortest amount of time.
